After completing an apprenticeship before his release from prison, Frank received a job offer from one of the largest housebuilding companies in Britain. However, he needs your help to find a home in Oxfordshire, allowing him to secure the job offer.
While working in construction, Frank hoped to complete a training course to work in the plumbing industry one day. However, he could not afford the training and was stuck working as a labourer without firm skills.
When he went to prison, Frank found that one of the hardest things was being separated from his family. He has an elderly father whom he has not seen for years, and he is determined to restore the good relationship he had with his family before his incarceration. His family supported him throughout, and he would like to make up for the time he has missed out on while he has been in prison.
Frank began a City and Guilds Plumbing diploma while in prison and completed it in May 2018. Since then, with the help of Aspire, he has started a National Vocational Qualification Level 2 Course and has secured an apprenticeship, which he has been working on full-time since January. He also has a full-time job offer from one of the largest housebuilding companies in Britain, that he could start once he is released from HMP Springhill in July this year.
"If Frank cannot get accommodation close to his work, he will not be able to continue with his paid apprenticeship and employment.
His only option will be to move back home and face homelessness on release from prison." - Christine, Frank's Support Worker
To secure the full-time job offer, Frank urgently needs a home that will allow him to get to work in Didcot. This is crucial in ensuring that he gets integrated into society and can leave his past behind.
If Frank is unable to secure the rent deposit by July, he will have to move away from Oxfordshire and leave his apprenticeship unfinished. All the work he has dedicated to achieving a brighter future will be lost.
You can help Frank move on and complete his rehabilitation.
